It wasn’t recognizing blank CDs either, but I went into My Computer, and then to the properties of the CD-ROM, selected the recording tab, and checked enable cd recording, and now it recognizes blank CDs, but it still does not recognize blank DVDs. If not, I am going to have to dump it. If it is, I can still return it to the guy. I am trying to use ffdshow as my codec for converting avi’s to mpg’s using TMPGEnc 2. I am trying to use DL DVDs, and on the outside of the DVD ripper for mac it says DVD+R DL. Lately I’ve been improving a lot and now I started getting concerned with not really being popular. This would be going in a little alcove open off the living room which is my HT area. Is it the projector? I just picked up a Sharp xv-z9000 from craigslist (the japanese version) and I was playing with component cables but with the PS3 set to play at 480p via composite connection.
