It’s a Cisco RNG150. Feels and looks like a toy. Doesn’t even display the channel or time (which I find annoying - I guess TVs don’t either if you don’t have a STB to begin with). Anyway, I’m wondering, even though this box is so new, if it’s any good, or if I should go back and request a real SA box.
The other HD box I have (which is still with the 720p Panny upstairs) is a SA 4250HDC. Never really gave us any issues. Should I ask for one of those, is it better than this new Cisco disposable box (it feels disposable at least). Or am I better with this? Anyone have any real experience with it? My initial impression when I quickly hooked it up to my 32 Panny LCD in the bedroom was bad ghosting around the on screen display (menu).” I don’t know what else I can try with this issue, hence why I decided to finally join a forum and ask for help. I went to Comcast today to upgrade an SD box to an HD one. I have a Sammy DLP HLP5063 that has remained motionless for the last 4-5 years and have moved it to my new home 50 miles away.
Question for the experts. Anyway, the lady said “I’ll give you the newest box we have! It shows a directory of MPEG2 and Segment. In selecting Super Video CD in Nero, it indicated that I would be able to view on my DVD play. avi format. My question is what camcorder, in the area of $700, works well within the limitations of the PS3 media player? Short of actually shelling ~$30 for Powerstrip, what are the options here? Are there any viable alternatives?
