I’m tired and had a nice big rum and ginger so I am ranting!!! Since the install of snow leopard my View NX does not work, lots of apps in CS4 don’t work and God knows what else. on my imap account my older messages are disappearing on both the mac and iphone. My contract with TMobile is FINALLY up. Almost every time I search for something with Spotlight I get the results but already during the process of searching and after that the whole system is unusably slow. Dunno if this is the right place to put this but I thought it may be useful to someone. I have (full) restored almost every night this week. 3GB of real(!!!) memory.
However, when we move the email to another folder, only one moves and the phantom one disappears. In one account the e-mails now seem to “appear” twice in that inbox since Snow Leopard. I’m switching to AT&T next week. even went to the extent of creating a new user account to re-download the firmware. We have two email addresses (one for myself and one for my spouse). I thought that might be some weird indexing stuff that’s going on but the Spotlight icon doesn’t show an applicable status (the magnifying glass with the dot). When I checked the activity monitor I saw that Spotlight uses about 1.
